This girl’s bedroom is now a dream to be in. Everyone lets in a gasp of adorable AHHHS when they see the breathtaking coral cabinetry accented with teal blues. The young girl who lives in this room is in kindergarten and loves to read. We decided to embrace the attic slanted ceilings with the cabinetry design and make a very symmetrical built-in reading and lounge nook next to the bed. This was a challenge as the ceiling and walls are quite imperfect in design and the space had to have extremely custom built cabinets to make this work. The result is a dream with open accessible shelving for books and toys. The cabinetry also created more functional storage for overflow toys and clothes and shoe storage for the active young girl. Prior to the remodel the bedroom was dark so we added wall sconces and overhead can lighting, as well as a decorative chandelier. The decorative lighting is playful as it resembles a flower design. The colorful wallpaper also showcases various flowers in the vibrant design. We call it the begonia bedroom because of the floral coral paint color of the cabinetry, the bedspread flowers, the wallpaper flowers and the lighting all echo a floral design. Such a happy youthful room.
